![]() It's all about the devil and I learned to hate him so Mommy told me something a little kid should know ![]() Open up your heart and let the sun shine in Smilers never lose and frowners never win ![]() So let the sun shine in, face it with a grin Just open up your heart and let the sun shine in So if you feel of trouble and you never seem to move If I forget to say my prayers the devil jumps with gleeīut he feels so awful, awful when he sees me on my knees Maybe if we keep on smiling he'll get tired of hanging 'round I know he'll be unhappy 'cause I'll never wear a frown They sweetly ended their performance with Frank Sinatra’s classic “Something Stupid”.When you are unhappy, the devil wears a grinīut oh, he starts to run in when the light comes prowling in But I think everybody was satisfied already with the likes of “Cuscatlan”, “Labour of Love”, and “Lonely”. And they didn’t play “Open Up Your Heart and Let The Sunshine In”. After the performance ended, some people started not-so-loudly shouted (asking for) “Temptation” and “Blue Monday” □įor “Temptation”, maybe we can wait if Moby comes to Indonesia one day, but that chance is probably pretty small, and Moby is more likely to play “New Dawn Fades” than “Temptation”. Well and uhm, Bizarre Love Triangle, but that was partly because it was New Order’s. I could only sing along to “Accidentally Kelly Street”, “Horrible”, and “Ordinary Angels”. I however, was pretty disappointed of myself. I wonder whether it was because they used to memorise them in their youth so that those songs stuck in their heads forever (like what happened to Pet Shop Boys, erasure, and Rancid songs to me), or they had just memorised the lyrics few days earlier. ![]() About the later song, Angie said that it was about a girl breaking a guy’s heart, adding “Yes, girls can also break a guy’s heart”.Īnyway I was pretty surprised that the majority of the audience (in particular those in the front rows) were able to sing-along to most of the songs from the ‘Marvin the album’. Well I must admit that I was not so familiar with their second album, “Shape” either, so I could only sing-along to “Horrible” and “Good Bye, Good Guy”. However, audience were only able to sing along to songs from their first album. ![]() Opened with “Most Beyond”, their performance was like listening to their records. ![]()
